Presentation Evening 2021

Welcome to our Annual Presentation Evening where we celebrate the outstanding achievements of our students and showcase their talents.

Jack Hunt School’s virtual Presentation Evening was held on Tuesday 14 December. Although we were unable to hold our traditional event in school, we pre-recorded the presentation and still celebrated the achievements of our fantastic students.

All distinguished guests, governors, staff, parents and students were invited to attend the virtual event with special guest speaker Fraser Doherty, Entrepreneur and founder of SuperJam.  Fraser started his incredible business career at the age of just 14. After being taught how to make jam in his Grandmother’s kitchen in Scotland, he came up with a way of making jam 100% from fruit. At sixteen, he presented his brand, SuperJam, to Waitrose and went on to become the youngest ever supplier to a major supermarket.

A number of students received awards, particular recognition to Jack Brown, Shuib Nadeem and Libby Nichols who all won three awards:

Jack Brown - Commendation for excellent A Levels, John Goose Shield for highest level in Sociology and Sue Titman Award a commendation in recognition of the dedication and leadership of the Head Prefect Team 2020/21.

Shuib Nadeem - Commendation for excellent A Levels, Richard Marks Mathematics Award for student showing most promise in Mathematics and Sue Titman Award a commendation in recognition of the dedication and leadership of the Head Prefect Team 2020/21.

Libby Nichols - Commendation for excellent A Levels, Michael Taylor Award for student who produced the best English essay and History Shield for reaching highest level in History.

The virtual event came to a close with the Head Boy, Richard Kaseta and Head Girl, Grace Kennedy thanking Fraser for his motivational and inspirational story that showed the importance of resilience and tenacity. The musical performances from the Musical Cast and Year 10 Ensemble were of the highest quality and very enjoyable. Thank you to all involved who made the virtual event a great success.

Welcome to our Annual Presentation Evening where we celebrate the outstanding achievements of our students and showcase their talents.

Whilst schools have continued to blend learning with in school and remote provision, and national examination results were based on Teacher Assessed grades, what has not changed is how immensely proud we are of our students and all their successes; and particularly their resilience during these challenging times. We are proud of the academic, creative or sporting standards they reach; the progress they make; their contribution to the school and the Multi Academy Trust; their leadership skills; their support of a wide range of charities; their respect for, and celebration of, our diverse community; and their work beyond the school. As caring, questioning, articulate young people, who want to make a difference, they are a tremendous credit to their families and the school. We are particularly honoured to have Fraser Doherty, MBE, as our speaker this evening.
