Bebras Challenge Success

In November this year some of our ICT and Computing students took part in the annual Bebras Computational Thinking Challenge. The competition is aimed at inspiring pupils to get involved in Computer Science, in a fun and interactive way through brain teasers and challenges.

The international competition runs in over 30 countries, with the top participants being invited along to Oxford University. The event itself is split into four sections depending on student age covering Years 6-13, with the aim to gain as many points as possible over the 18 challenges.

Out of the 850 Jack Hunt students that took part, there were 4 students who scored the highest in their categories. Sophie Baker was the highest scorer in the Junior category, Mateusz Baranowski scored the highest in the Intermediate category, Brandon Newton scored highest in the Senior category and Usamah Mushtaq was the highest scorer in the Elite category.

Well done to everyone who took part in the challenge and Congratulations to our winners
