JHS Wins “School Of The Year Award” For The Second Consecutive Year

Jack Hunt School won School of the Year for the second consecutive year at the Living Sport County Sports Partnership Awards Evening.

Held at the Burgess Hall, St Ives and hosted by Former Footballer and Racehorse Trainer, Micky Quinn, the evening celebrated the sporting achievements of schools, coaches, volunteers and performers from Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.

Jack Hunt School won the Luminus School of the Year Award for its work within sport across many areas including; school club links, Sport in the Community, Improvement in Sport, high quality PE and continuing professional development for staff.

Examples of work and projects in each of these areas can be obtained from Chris Game, Assistant Headteacher.

Chris said, “It is wonderful to receive this Award for the second year running. As a school we work hard to ensure students and the local community gain as many positive experiences and opportunities within PE and Sport”.
