Forest Learning

The new Breakthrough group is up and running. The group consists of 12 specially selected students who spend six weeks completing literacy booster sessions. This week they have been creating their own revolting recipes, designing and describing their own chocolate factory and refining their story writing.

The students have also taken up the opportunity to visit Copthill School in Barnack where they are completing weekly Forest Learning Activities with Suzanne Mosley and Sam Bolton. During their Forest Learning sessions they have been developing their team work skills by building shelters and maintaining camp fires. The students thoroughly enjoy their afternoons in the Forest particularly the celebratory hot chocolate around the campfire. Fingers crossed the weather continues to hold for the next 5 weeks.
