  • Presentation Evening

    The Right Honourable Lord Mawhinney of Peterborough, presented awards and certificates to students at the annual Presentation Evening at Jack Hunt School on Thursday 17 December 2009.  During the evening prizes and trophies were awarded to students both past and present ....  

  • Languages Story Competition

    In the summer term of 2009 the MFL department decided to join in a national project to make mini books for primary school children in either French, German or Spanish.  157 books were completed and handed in, and the judging was very difficult.

  • Competition Success for Dance & Theatre Academy

    The winners of the Jack Hunt Theatre and Dance Academy’s Choreographic Competition took part in the Cecchetti Choreographic Competition recently. The students performed at Cecil Sharp House in London, home to the English Folk Dance and Song Society.

  • Cross Country Winner!

    Congratulations go to Elisha Reid in year 7 who came first in the Peterborough Schools Cross Country on Friday 4th December.  She has done very well and will now go on to represent Peterborough in the next round.

  • A Busy Time For Sports Leaders

    Year 12 Community Sports Leaders have organised three sports festivals for our linked Primary Schools. This has involved 48 Community Sports Leaders and 350 pupils from years 4,5 and 6.

    There have been some excellent sporting achievements recently, with the netball and hockey teams doing extremely well and Joe Tankard has produced some amazing results in swimming 

  • Year 11 OCR Science Groups Reach for the Stars

    Over 100 Year 11 students spent the entire day in Science completing various practical experiments and interactive tasks for their OCR course. We hired a mobile planetarium which plunged them into darkness giving them an idea what the real night sky looks like.

  • Visit to Cambridge University prompts students to look at languages afresh

    Sixteen students from Jack Hunt School took part in a Languages Master Class Day at Cambridge University recently. More than 100 gifted and talented students from 13 schools in the Eastern region attended the event which focused on Italian.

  • Bronte Parsonage Trip

    Sixth form students set off at 7:30am to Yorkshire on the last Thursday of half term. They were heading for Haworth and the parsonage belonging to the Bronte family
