  • JH Students 'Love Music Hate Waste'

    How to raise awareness amongst young people of the waste problems in Peterborough and beyond? Music. Every year in the UK enough textiles are thrown away to fill Wembley Stadium four times over; this is a particular problem in Peterborough with the Council stuggling to cope with the amounts of clothes, shoes, curtains and other textiles thrown away each week

  • Work Experience Celebration Evening

    Year 10 students at Jack Hunt School recently completed their two weeks work experience, enabling them to gain knowledge and experience through Work Related Learning in the world of work. 258 students aged 14-15 went out to 249 employers who represented 53 occupational areas including Sales, Hairdressing, Sports & Leisure, Farming, Mechanics and the Armed Forces.

  • Revision Week

    During the week beginning 19 April, all year 11 students were taken off their usual timetable due to revision week. Revision was targeted to individual needs but with a specific emphasis on Maths, English and Science.

  • Top Link Visits Jack Hunt School

    Jack Hunt School was visited today by Tom Davis, a British and Commonwealth Champion in Judo. He was here with Top Link as an athlete role model for the Youth Sport Trust, which helps young people get involved in sport.

  • Football and Cricket for Young People

    Vivacity Peterborough are going to be running high quality coaching and drop in sessions for boys and girls aged 13 to 18 years of age.  The cricket and football sessions are being held from Tuesday 15th June 2010 at Voyager School and Gladstone Community Centre.

  • Peterborough Adapted Cycling Scheme

    PACS Launch Event is to be held on Saturday 19th June from 12pm to 3pm at Ferry Meadows.

    Come and try the range of specially adpated cycles for all ages and abilities.  Experienced cyclists will be on hand to offer help and advice.


  • Visit to RBS Williams F1 Centre

    A group of students recently had the opportunity to visit the RBS Williams F1 centre. The visit was organised by Randstad Education, who we would like to thank for such an excellent day.  All the students were made to feel very welcome and said they will remember this day for a long time.

  • Summer Music Concert

    Tuesday 8 June 2010 from 7pm to 8.45pm in the Main Hall.

    The Concert will include items from the Orchestra, Woodwind Ensemble, String Ensemble, Samba, Recorders, Senior and Junior Choirs, Jazz Band and more.  Refreshments will be served and it promises to be an entertaining evening event.

  • Travelchoice Cycle Workshop

    Jack Hunt year 7 students recently received a visit from Richard Cooper from Travelchoice. Richard had come along to encourage the students to use their bicycles more and to do so safely.  This was done in two sessions, the first being a practical cycle maintenance workshop...
