    Earlier this year Farzin Mavani and Zoheb Ahmed qualified to participate in the European Pink Kangaroo Maths Challenge. Both Year 11 students had achieved the highest marks (Gold Awards) in the UKMT Intermediate Maths Challenge.

  • Y7 Visit The Royal Albert Hall

    On Friday 19 March 2010, year 7 students went on a “Classical Spectacular” trip to the Royal Albert Hall. Not put off by the rain, we arrived in London in time to eat lunch under shelter and visit the statue of Albert in Hyde Park for some photographs and fresh air.

  • Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Training

    Earlier this month 45 year 10 students took part in their Duke of Edinburgh Award Bronze expedition training. On day one the students walked with a member of staff, learning skills such as pacing, walking on bearings, route planning and using a compass to get from Lutton to Yarwell Mill.

  • Year 10 Stock Market Challenge

    All Year 10 Students at Jack Hunt School swapped the classroom for the trading floor to take part in the stock Market Challenge. Students thoroughly enjoyed the experience and it has even inspired some youngsters to pursue careers in finance.

  • Easter Battlefields Trip

    This Easter Lucie Swannell, Laura Thurley, Rosemary Reeve and I took 30 year 9 students on a tour of the battle sites, cemeteries and memorials of World War I in Belgium and France. Both Lucie and myself had been on this trip with previous schools but this was the first time we had done it with Jack Hunt.

  • Pupils Take Part in European Languages Day

    Jack Hunt School pupils said “bonjour” and “guten tag” to more than 250 primary school students as part of a European Languages Day.  Year 7 pupils spent the day taking part in a raft of activities from a Eurovision Song Contest in music to Italian pizza making in food technology.

  • JHS Celebrates Urdu Speaking Countries Day

    Jack Hunt School celebrated Urdu Speaking Countries Day on 23 March 2010. Urdu Students from Year 10 to the Sixth Form organised different activities including quizzes and gave presentations on the history and culture of Pakistan to Year 8 students.
