Supporting 'Show Racism the Red Card'

Jack Hunt School raises money for the charity "Show racism the red card" by participating in the wear red day.

Students and Staff at Jack Hunt School have continued our annual support of ‘Show Racism the Red Card’ on Thursday 17 October, with everyone wearing red clothing.  This non uniform day is in aid of a fantastic charity group which aims to tackle all forms of racism across the country, working particularly to train people in schools and workplaces throughout England, Scotland and Wales. Their work means that they can deliver anti-racism workshops to over 50,000 young people a year and provide training to educators about racism related issues.

Tutors collected £1 donations from the students in a red bag and the proceeds of this event will be put towards supporting this worthwhile cause. In total, the students and staff of Jack Hunt School raised £1188 to be used for delivering the anti-racism workshops and educating people across the UK.

Thank you to everyone involved in raising money for this worthwhile cause.
