To commemorate the exciting occasion of King Charles III’s Coronation in May, City College Peterborough wanted to do something to celebrate and involve all its staff, students and supported people, as well as the wider community…the idea of the City College Community Coronation Quilt was then born.  Anyone who wanted to celebrate this event could get involved, and the squares that made up the quilt needed to be on 20cm-by-20cm material that could be sewn together. 

JHS Year 7 Nurture Class had the exciting opportunity to contribute to the Community Coronation Quilt by creating two PKAT squares. The Community Coronation Quilt has been on display in Peterborough Cathedral and is now on tour to all the community groups and schools that contributed to it, and we are hoping to have the opportunity to display it on site soon.
