Sixth Form Trip to Loughborough Uni
JHS Students arriving at Loughborough University
On Friday the 10th November, 49 Year 13 students attended an open day at Loughborough University. Students got to tour the campus grounds whilst it was full of activity with students living on site, a rare occasion as many open days occur outside of term time. This allowed students to see a campus in action. Students heard all about student life at university, and they attended a UCAS personal statement workshop on how to write a compelling personal statement with plenty of hints and tips.
All who attended the trip were incredibly professional and praised by Loughborough University and the coach for their professionalism. We ended the day with a round of questions where students asked a variety of questions such as what mental health support is available, why did the student ambassadors choose Loughborough and ultimately, what is the most important thing to consider when choosing a university.
Hannah from Loughborough University will be returning to Jack Hunt on the 6th of December for a careers fair, and we cannot wait to host them at Jack Hunt School.
