We recently had the pleasure of inviting Heather and Ade from the Alzheimer’s Society to run a Dementia training workshop for eager Sixth Form students. The students who attended the course all had their own personal interests in attending, with varied careers from physiotherapy, child-nursing, primary education, and social work. The students were all well engaged with the course and were praised for their professionalism, attitude, and discussions. We hope to work with Heather and Ade again soon to spread the message about compassion and understanding for those with dementia and get people talking. The students are now all certified as Dementia Friends and will wear their Forget-Me-Nots with pride.
